Community Calendar

laportecityia.com and theprogressreview.com have begun a collaborative effort to develop a comprehensive community calendar for La Porte City and the surrounding communities that will be available online and in print, published each week in The Progress Review.

Please use the following categories as guideline for submitting Community Calendar events.

Club/Organization Events: Regularly scheduled meetings, special events or any other event open to the public

Church Events: Dinners, ice cream socials, bazaars and other events open to the public.

School Events: Athletics, fine arts, special meetings, etc.

Community Events: City recreation activities, public library events, municipal government meetings, citywide celebrations and events, etc.

Other Events: Any other event open to the public that does not fit in the previously listed categories.

Milestone events such as weddings, anniversaries, births and special birthdays will not be published as part of the Community Calendar. Instead, those events may be submitted for publication in The Progress Review's Local Milestones section, both online and in print. There is currently no charge for this service.

Fields marked in RED are required. After completing the form, click on the Submit button to offer your event for consideration in the Community Calendar. At this time, a listing of Community Calendar events will be available online each week beginning on Wednesday, in addition to publication in the print edition of The Progress Review.
